Programs & Training
A Note for Parents
New to springboard diving? We suggest starting with 2–4 private lessons. This gives your diver time to learn board safety, basic entries, and build confidence before stepping into team practices.

FUEL Dive Club – Code of Conduct
Our values focus on mutual respect, personal safety, and teamwork.
Safety
- When not in the water, athletes must be supervised by an adult at all times. Running, pushing, and horseplay on the pool deck are strictly prohibited for everyone’s safety. Trampoline use requires a registered diving coach to be present. Double bouncing, sitting on boards, and performing handstands or other specific skills are only permitted with a coach’s direct oversight. If you notice any suspicious individuals or unsafe actions, please inform a coach or lifeguard immediately.
Sportsmanship
- We choose support over criticism and practice the principle of praising in public while correcting in private. Each member of our FUEL community—including athletes, parents, and coaches—is treated with dignity, as are our competitors. No alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substances are permitted at any team functions. We share the responsibility of caring for our facility by ensuring all gear is organized before leaving. We proudly show team spirit through enthusiastic cheering and by wearing official FUEL apparel at every meet. Divers listen respectfully above water when a coach speaks, and we all vow to bring our best effort to every single practice session.
Responsibilities
- All families are expected to stay informed by checking email and the Remind app regularly. Physical or verbal abuse is never tolerated and leads to immediate intervention by our staff. Please ensure divers arrive with enough time to begin their training promptly. Athletes are required to attend only their scheduled sessions. To comply with pool regulations, parents must remain off the deck during practices but are encouraged to consult with coaches before or after the designated team hours.
Disciplinary Action
- The coaching staff reviews all disciplinary matters individually. Should behavioral issues persist, we will arrange a meeting with the athlete and their guardian to determine the best path forward.
